Neurodiversity Workshops

Neurodiversity Workshops for teams, ERGs and leadership cohorts.

Practical, discussion-led neurodiversity workshops that move a specific team, network or cohort forward on a defined question — not a full programme, not a keynote.

Wayne Kelly runs short-form neurodiversity workshops for teams, ERGs, leadership cohorts and cross-functional groups. Workshops are the right shape when you need focused discussion, decisions and next steps — sitting between an awareness session and a full corporate training programme.

When a workshop is the right shape

A neurodiversity workshop suits a specific group — a team, an ERG committee or a leadership cohort — with a defined question on the table: how do we support this population, how should this policy work, what do we brief our leaders to do differently.

You need the group to reach a shared view and leave with actions. If what you actually need is capability across a manager population, a workshop will not get you there and a training programme will.

Who it is for

Employee networks and ERGs shaping their strategy. Intact teams working through how they operate. Manager communities of practice. HR and EDI teams designing policy. Leadership cohorts needing a working session rather than a presentation.

Common workshop topics

Neurodivergent strengths and barriers within this specific team. Reasonable-adjustment principles for a particular function or working environment. ERG strategy, priorities and executive sponsorship. Manager community-of-practice case sessions. Policy and process design. Neuroinclusion review of an in-flight change programme.

How a workshop runs

Short framing input, then structured discussion against real material the group brings — their policy, their team, their cases. Wayne facilitates rather than presents, and the session is designed to produce a written output: a priority list, a policy sketch, a manager charter, a set of recommendations with owners.

Formats run from 60–90 minute focused sessions through half-day design sessions and ERG strategy days to a rolling cohort series. In person or virtual.

Getting the balance right on lived experience

Workshops involving neurodivergent colleagues are designed so that their contribution is invited rather than extracted. Nobody is put on the spot, disclosure is never expected, and the burden of educating the room does not fall on the people the session is about — a detail that goes wrong often enough to be worth stating plainly.

Neurodiversity Workshops — FAQ

Is a workshop enough on its own?

+

For a specific team question, often yes. For organisational capability it is not, and workshops usually feed into a corporate training programme or a strategy engagement.

Can Wayne co-design the workshop with our ERG?

+

Yes. ERG co-design is a common shape and reliably produces the strongest outputs, because the group arrives with the real questions already surfaced.

How big can a workshop be?

+

Up to around 25 people for genuine discussion. Beyond that the format shifts towards a briefing, and the decisions stop happening in the room.

What do we need to prepare?

+

The question you want answered, any relevant policy or data, and the right people in the room — including someone with the authority to act on what the group decides.

What to include when you get in touch

It speeds things up considerably if your first message covers: the audience and roughly how many people; your organisation and sector; what you are trying to change; where you are based and whether you want in-person or virtual delivery; and your proposed timing. Wayne replies personally.
